SIMPLE PRESENT and PRESENT CONTINUOUS

Which sentence is correct?

  1. Right now, I am sitting in my car.
  2. Right now, I sit in my car.

(Number 1 is correct!)

Remember:

  • The simple present tense is used for habits, routines and schedules.
  • The present continuous tense is used for something that is happening right now, at the moment of speaking.
